Golf take center stage. Top golfers from around the world vie for
over $2.5 million U.S..
The Accompony Maroon Festival, held in early January in western
Jamaica. The festival dates from the 1800s when the Maroons
(escaped slaves and their descendants) celebrated freedom and their
heritage with feasting, singing and dancing.
